This book tells about how we teach children to talk at the Moog Center. It presents a way of thinking about teaching children who are deaf or hard of hearing to talk. In this book, we explain our philosophy and provide overall guidelines to help teachers decide what to teach, and how and when to teach it. A major focus is on the "how to" for a variety of language activities, including many sample lessons as well as ideas and resources for other activities. Teaching Activities is intended to be used by teachers as a practical guide to teaching children who are deaf and hard of hearing to talk.
